You may sometimes hear about the “F-Body” when talking about the 70’1/2 Camaro. The “F” stands for Firebird. The reason is because the Camaro was built on the same chassis as the Pontiac Firebird. It was 1970 and ½ because it wasn’t created when it supposed to be. Chevy had production difficulties and couldn’t produce the car until half way through the year. So technically speaking, the 1970 ½ Camaro is actually the 1970 Camaro, people just started calling it the half.
